Planning a barn wedding on PEI offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and refined elegance — especially at the beautiful New London Carriage House on Prince Edward Island. For Logan & Mike’s wedding, our goal was to design wedding flowers that complemented the warm wood tones of the venue while adding softness, romance, and intentional colour throughout the day. As a PEI wedding florist, designing for barn venues like this is always a favourite — they provide character and texture, but florals are what truly bring the space to life.

For this New London Carriage House wedding, we leaned into a peach and white floral palette that felt fresh, modern, and timeless. Peach carnations — which are absolutely making a comeback — added fullness and warmth, while delicate white cosmos grown right on our PEI flower farm introduced a light, airy movement to the arrangements. Combining locally grown flowers with premium blooms creates dimension and depth, something that makes a significant difference in barn wedding floral design. The result felt cohesive, romantic, and perfectly suited to a Prince Edward Island countryside setting.
The ceremony took place outdoors overlooking rolling farmland with a glimpse of the ocean in the far distance. To anchor the landscape, we designed two tall floral pillars filled with layered greenery and soft peach and white blooms. In outdoor PEI wedding ceremonies, scale and placement matter — florals help define the space against expansive natural backdrops. Petals were scattered along the full length of the aisle, creating a romantic pathway that felt intentional yet organic within the surrounding landscape. Thoughtful floral installations like these provide structure and focus, allowing the natural beauty of Prince Edward Island to shine while still feeling elevated and refined.

Inside the reception space, we carried the colour story forward using bud vases filled with coordinating blooms along the centre of the harvest guest tables. Bud vase styling is one of our favourite approaches for barn wedding receptions on PEI — it keeps tables feeling elevated and styled without overwhelming conversation or sightlines. The large floral sprays that flanked the ceremony aisle entrance were thoughtfully repurposed to frame the seating chart and welcome mirror at the reception, allowing the flowers to evolve throughout the day while maximizing the couple’s floral investment.

Logan & Mike were an absolute joy to work with, and the New London Carriage House continues to be one of our favourite PEI wedding venues to design for. Thoughtful floral planning transforms a barn wedding from simply rustic to truly refined. When wedding flowers are designed with the venue, colour palette, and overall flow of the day in mind, they don’t just decorate the space — they define it.
